An urgent message from the Superintendent of the Jericho Water District.
The unseasonably hot, dry weather we have been experiencing, combined with the loss of critical wells, has led to an increase in water demand that is unsustainable. Any rainfall that we receive in the near future will not be sufficient to alleviate this situation. Therefore, I am advising all residents that no lawn watering will be permitted for the next 10 days through July 6, 2020, or until further notice.
The Board of Commissioners of the Jericho Water District and I thank you in advance for your cooperation to reduce demand so that more severe water restrictions will not be required.
