IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR DRINKING WATER
An imminent public health hazard existed in the Districts distribution system due to service line leaks at the White Oaks Rehabilitation and Nursing Center (Facility) located at 8565 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury. The District was notified of this situation by the Facility, on June 25th, 2025, and has been working to rectify the issue. Notification of this issue was posted in this location on July 11th, 2025.
At this time, we are pleased to announce that the hazard has been mitigated, and the threat of a potential health hazard, for that location, has been removed.
As the prior notice stated, there is nothing that you need to do. The leaking water service was removed from service, and two (2) new water services, including the required backflow prevention devices, were installed. The increase in chlorine, as a precautionary disinfectant, has been reduced back to normal levels.
