RE: FLUSHING OF WATER MAIN ON EAST AVE.

The Jericho Water District is instituting a water main flushing program. This is to ensure that all customers get the highest quality of water that we can provide. On Wednesday night, August 6th, 2025, at approximately 10:00 PM, district personnel will commence with opening and/or closing select water main valves and simultaneously opening fire hydrants along East Ave.
The process should take about four (4) hours. During that time, we ask that all residents refrain from using water. You may want to put several pitchers full of water in your refrigerators so that you have water available during the time we are flushing the main. Once we have finished flushing the main, you may resume using water. However, you may experience a little slight discoloration in your water when you open the faucet for the first time. We recommend that you open only a cold water faucet so that you do not draw any rusty water into your hot water heater.
